Dr. James Pinke

Dr. James Pinke is an ophthalmologist at Pinke Eye Center in Shelton, Connecticut, with over three decades of experience in cataract and glaucoma surgery. He has performed more than 20,000 eye operations since founding the practice in 1982. Dr. Pinke is recognized for pioneering advanced techniques such as stitchless cataract surgery and femtosecond laser cataract surgery, as well as innovative multi-focal implants that address both distance and close vision. He also specializes in SLT and ECP laser treatments for glaucoma.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Pinke serves as senior attending ophthalmologist at Griffin Hospital and is a founding member and medical director of the Connecticut Eye Surgery Center, South, in Milford. He is a board-certified fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and remains actively involved in teaching through national lectures on cataract surgery.
