About Me
Dr. James Izer is a board-certified ophthalmologist practicing in Wetumpka, Alabama. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract Surgery, reflecting his commitment to advanced surgical and medical eye care.
Dr. Izer grew up in Texas and pursued his undergraduate education at the University of Houston, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He then earned his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, finishing with high honors. His ophthalmology residency was completed at the University of Michigan, W.K. Kellogg Eye Center, where he was appointed Chief Resident.
Dr. Izer and his wife are proud parents of three children. He is dedicated to providing personalized, high-quality eye care to his patients.
