Dr. James Fox serves as the Western Region Medical Director of ICON Eyecare and is a board-certified ophthalmologist. He specializes in both medical and surgical treatments for patients with cataracts, glaucoma, intraocular lens complications, trauma, and those who might benefit from refractive surgery.

Dr. Fox received his fellowship training in Glaucoma and Advanced Anterior Segment Surgery at the University of Toronto under the guidance of world-renowned surgeon Dr. Ike Ahmed. His clinical passions include education and domestic/international charitable work, and he is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

Outside of his practice, Dr. Fox lives in Grand Junction and enjoys skiing and hiking with his wife and young daughters.
