He holds a USA Fellowship and Arab Board certification, reflecting his expertise in corneal and refractive surgery. His education includes a medical degree from the University of Jordan, an ophthalmology residency at Hamad Medical Corporation in Qatar, and fellowships in cornea and refractive surgery as well as paediatric ophthalmology at the University of Texas Southwestern.
In his professional career, Dr. Banna has served as a private practice ophthalmologist in Winchester, Virginia, and held academic positions as an assistant professor and adjunct assistant professor at the University of North Carolina. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, demonstrating his commitment to professional standards and continuous learning.
Dr. Banna specializes in a comprehensive range of surgical procedures for corneal and anterior segment conditions.
