Dr. Heather Nesti

Dr. Heather A. Nesti is a board-certified ophthalmologist and the Medical Director at Chesapeake Eye Care and Laser Center. She specializes in glaucoma and cataract surgery, offering patients the latest surgical techniques and personalized treatment plans. For glaucoma, Dr. Nesti combines medications, laser procedures, and surgery to control the disease and prevent further vision loss. For cataracts, she utilizes advanced laser technology and a range of intraocular lens options to help patients achieve clear vision at all distances, often reducing the need for glasses after surgery. Her expertise is particularly valuable for patients managing both glaucoma and cataracts.

Dr. Nesti completed her glaucoma fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital, a leading institution, where she also served as co-chief resident. She earned her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College and holds a Bachelor of Arts in biology from the University of Delaware. She is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, and serves as Co-Chief of the Ophthalmology Department at Anne Arundel Medical Center.

Throughout her career, Dr. Nesti has been recognized with numerous honors, including multiple "Top Doc" awards from What’s Up? Annapolis and Chesapeake Family magazine, as well as the Vitals Patients’ Choice Award. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, advanced eye care to her patients in the Annapolis community.
