About Me
Hassan Abdul Aziz, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist who received his American Board of Ophthalmology certification in 2016. He currently serves as the head of the retina division at the ophthalmology department at Clemenceau Medical Center, which is affiliated with Johns Hopkins Medicine International. Additionally, he works as a locum consultant at Moorfields Eye Hospital Dubai.
Dr. Abdul Aziz completed his ophthalmology residency at the renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, consistently ranked as the top eye hospital in the United States. He further specialized through fellowships in ocular oncology at the Cole Eye Institute of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, in vitreoretinal diseases and ocular oncology at the USC Roski Eye Institute, and in surgical vitreoretinal procedures at the University of British Columbia.
His practice is dedicated to the evaluation and treatment of medical and surgical retinal conditions, including retinal detachment, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinopathy of prematurity. As an ocular oncologist, he is an expert in managing eye cancers such as uveal melanoma and retinoblastoma. With over 40 peer-reviewed publications and four book chapters, he is an active member of several international ophthalmic societies, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the International Society of Ocular Oncology.
