Dr. Greg Bever

Dr. Greg Bever is a retina specialist who also brings dedicated ocular oncology training to patients across West Michigan. He diagnoses and treats a full range of retinal conditions, including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, vein occlusions, and macular pucker. In addition, he cares for rare and complex intraocular tumors such as choroidal melanoma and vitreoretinal lymphoma, collaborating with oncology colleagues when needed. Patients describe Dr. Bever as thorough, clear, and compassionate—he takes time to review imaging, discuss options, and tailor plans to each person’s vision and lifestyle. Dr. Bever completed medical school at Boston University, ophthalmology residency at the University of California, and subspecialty fellowships in ocular oncology and vitreoretinal surgery at the University of California. Originally from Bay City, he is proud to serve the Grand Rapids community and surrounding regions. His goal is to deliver advanced retinal care close to home with a calm, trustworthy approach.
