Dr. Golden Buckland

Dr. Tad Buckland is an ophthalmologist who began his general ophthalmology practice with North Idaho Eye Institute in 2007. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and provides comprehensive eye care for patients in the Coeur d’Alene area.

Dr. Buckland's clinical practice includes the management of cataracts, glaucoma, and eyelid procedures. He has a special interest in the medical treatment of retinal diseases such as macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, and vein occlusions, offering patients advanced care for these conditions.

Originally from Connecticut, Dr. Buckland completed his medical education at Boston University School of Medicine and his ophthalmology residency at Albany Medical Center Hospital in New York. Outside of his practice, he enjoys skiing, mountain and road biking, and exploring the outdoor activities that Coeur d’Alene has to offer with his family.
