About Me
Dr. Alison Granier is a native of Coeur d’Alene who returned home to practice ophthalmology at the North Idaho Eye Institute. She graduated from the University of Washington School of Medicine and completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of California, Davis. Dr. Granier is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
As a general ophthalmologist, Dr. Granier has a particular focus on pediatric eye care and is dedicated to providing care to underserved populations. She is also interested in health policy and improving healthcare systems, both locally and globally, and has participated in medical mission trips in Central America with the International Eye Institute.
Dr. Granier received her medical degree in 2006 and her undergraduate degree in Philosophy from Whitman College in 2002. She is also a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons and Physicians for Social Responsibility. Outside of her practice, she enjoys yoga, cooking, outdoor recreation, and spending time with her family.
