About Me
Dr. Gillian Treadwell is an ophthalmologist who focuses on glaucoma care for adults. She diagnoses and manages glaucoma, including open-angle and angle-closure glaucoma, and works with patients to preserve vision through careful monitoring and individualized treatment plans. She also provides care for related eye conditions such as cataracts, diabetic eye disease, and posterior capsule opacification.
Dr. Treadwell earned her medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center and completed a preliminary year in internal medicine at the University of Illinois Hospital. She then completed an ophthalmology residency at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center and advanced glaucoma fellowship training at the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. She is board certified in ophthalmology and serves as an Assistant Professor in ophthalmology in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
