About Me

Dr. Felix Y Chau is an Associate Professor and the Director of the Retinal Bioengineering Laboratory in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science. His clinical practice is dedicated to the management of complex retinal conditions, with a primary focus on retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) and medical-surgical retina. Patients seeking care for these conditions can expect expertise in both clinical evaluation and advanced surgical treatments.

Dr. Chau is actively involved in clinical research, serving as a co-investigator on several trials aimed at developing new treatments for diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration (AMD). He joined the Retina Service as an attending physician in 2010, contributing to both patient care and the advancement of retinal therapies through his research program.
