Dr. Farhad Shokoohi

Dr. Farhad Shokoohi is a board-certified ophthalmologist and Director of Great Lakes Eye Institute, bringing over 30 years of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of retinal and vitreous diseases. He specializes in conditions such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, and other disorders of the retina and vitreous.

Dr. Shokoohi serves as an assistant clinical professor at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the Kresge Eye Institute at Wayne State University and a fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery and diseases at the University of Texas, Houston. He is an active member of several professional societies, including the American Society of Retinal Specialists and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
