Meet Dr. Erik Sweet
About Me
Dr. Erik Sweet is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Dr. Sweet obtained his degree in medicine from William Beaumont School of Medicine at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. He spent a transition year as Chief Resident at Beaumont Hospital in Taylor, Michigan. He then completed his residency in Comprehensive Ophthalmology at the Kellogg Eye Center at The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan before joining Baptist Eye Surgeons in July 2020.
Dr. Sweet's specialties include general ophthalmology, cataracts, cataract surgery, diabetic retinopathy, surgeries and in-office procedures, retina problems, LASIK, and refractive surgery.
In his spare time, Dr. Sweet enjoys spending time with his wife and their five children. They love being outdoors, hiking, swimming, and kayaking. Dr. Sweet also enjoys traveling with his best friend to scuba dive, volcano board, and more, all while capturing their adventures with his drone.
