Dr. Erich Hufnagel

Dr. Erich Hufnagel is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who provides adult eye care with a focus on clear communication and practical, step-by-step plans. He treats common vision concerns, manages glaucoma medically, and performs cataract surgery using modern techniques to improve clarity and reduce glare. A Lycoming County native, Dr. Hufnagel is proud to care for patients close to home and aims to make each visit efficient, informative, and comfortable.

Dr. Hufnagel earned his Doctor of Medicine from Thomas Jefferson University and completed his ophthalmology residency at Temple University Hospital, following additional residency training at Crozer–Chester Medical Center. In the clinic and operating room, he helps patients understand their options—from routine exams and monitoring to timing cataract surgery—and works with referring providers to ensure continuity of care. His goal is straightforward: help you protect your eyesight today and maintain healthy vision for the long term.
