Meet Dr. Harvey James Reiser

Dr. Harvey Reiser, M.D., is a board-certified ophthalmologist who dedicated his career to providing comprehensive eye care to patients in northeastern Pennsylvania. He specialized in the surgical treatment of cataracts, offering advanced options such as laser cataract surgery and premium lens implants to improve vision. Dr. Reiser also performed refractive lens exchange and cared for patients with diabetic eye disease and age-related macular degeneration. Throughout his long tenure at Eye Care Specialists, he was known for his expertise and compassionate approach.

Dr. Reiser completed his medical degree at Duke University and his ophthalmology residency at Wills Eye Hospital, one of the nation's leading eye centers. He also served as a Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery at The Commonwealth Medical College, sharing his knowledge with future physicians. After a remarkable career, Dr. Reiser retired from clinical and surgical practice in December 2025.
