About Me

Dr. Elliot S. Crane is a cornea, cataract, and refractive surgeon who enjoys helping people see comfortably and clearly again. He offers the full spectrum of modern cataract care—including astigmatism-correcting and advanced depth-of-focus lenses—and laser vision correction for appropriate candidates. Patients value his friendly, down-to-earth style and the way he tailors treatment plans to each person’s visual goals, whether that means driving at night with confidence or reading without glasses.

Dr. Crane completed ophthalmology residency at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and a fellowship in Cornea, Refractive Surgery, and External Disease at Albany Medical College/Cornea Consultants of Albany. He treats corneal dystrophies and keratoconus, performs partial-thickness corneal transplantation (DMEK/DSAEK) when needed, and manages challenging dry eye and ocular surface disease. Outside clinic, he enjoys puzzles, travel, and time with his family. Dr. Crane welcomes new patients and collaborates closely with referring optometrists and ophthalmologists to provide seamless care.
