Dr. Douglas Holmes

Dr. Holmes is an ophthalmologist who specializes in the evaluation and surgical treatment of retinal and vitreous eye diseases. He treats conditions such as retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and vitreous hemorrhage.

Originally from Casper, Dr. Holmes returned to his hometown to join Wyoming Retina Associates. He previously practiced at Colorado Retina Associates in Denver, where he also taught residents at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Dr. Holmes is a noted author and public lecturer on eye-related topics and an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He earned his medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine, completed his ophthalmology residency at Tulane University School of Medicine, and a retinal fellowship at Oregon Health Sciences University.
