Dr. Diana Salazar Vega

Dr. Diana Salazar is a glaucoma specialist and ophthalmologist who provides medical, laser, and surgical care for patients with all stages of glaucoma. She completed her ophthalmology residency at the National University of Bogota in Colombia, followed by a research fellowship at the UCLA Stein Eye Institute focused on advanced imaging technologies for glaucoma. She then pursued a surgical glaucoma fellowship at the Kellogg Eye Institute at the University of Michigan, where she refined her skills in complex and minimally invasive glaucoma procedures.

Dr. Salazar emphasizes early detection and individualized treatment plans, using state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging to monitor disease progression. She offers a full spectrum of therapies, from office-based laser procedures and minimally invasive trabecular-bypass surgeries to glaucoma implants and traditional surgeries when needed. She also performs cataract and pterygium surgery and takes time to explain each option so patients can participate actively in their care and feel confident in their treatment decisions.
