Dr. Deborah Witkin

Deborah I. Witkin, MD, is a comprehensive ophthalmologist at Eye Care of Maine in Waterville. She welcomes patients for full-spectrum medical and surgical eye care and is especially interested in small-incision cataract surgery, glaucoma, and the medical management of retina conditions such as diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration.

Dr. Witkin offers individualized cataract surgery planning, including monofocal, toric, and multifocal intraocular lens options, and performs micro-invasive glaucoma surgery when appropriate. She partners closely with each patient to explain findings, set clear expectations, and design practical treatment plans that fit daily life.

Dr. Witkin joined Eye Care of Maine in 2019. She resides in Oakland with her two boys and enjoys downhill skiing, swimming, kayaking, cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family.
