Dr. Linda Schumacher-Feero

Dr. Linda Schumacher-Feero is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has cared for patients in central Maine for many years. She joined Atlee Gleaton Eye Care in 1999 and is known for thoughtful, attentive visits that focus on both comfort and long-term eye health. She has a special interest in evaluating and treating dry eye symptoms, helping patients find practical relief and a plan they can follow at home.

Dr. Schumacher-Feero was raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Allegheny College, she attended medical school at the University of Pittsburgh and completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She has served as teaching faculty at Veterans Administration medical centers in Togus and Washington, DC, and she volunteers with EyeCare America through the Foundation of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. She strives to deliver careful, evidence-based care with clear guidance at each step.
