Meet Dr. Dean Ellis
About Me
Dr. Dean Ellis is a board-certified ophthalmologist and one of the most experienced LASIK surgeons in the Midwest, having performed over 107,000 procedures since 1998. He customizes each LASIK treatment to meet the unique vision needs of his patients, helping them achieve clearer sight and transform their lives. With more than 25 years of experience, Dr. Ellis is known for his compassionate care and dedication to patient-centered outcomes.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Ellis is an active researcher who has published journal articles on corneal surgery and computerized corneal mapping. He serves as a principal investigator with the American-European Congress of Ophthalmology, studying corneal cross-linking for conditions like keratoconus. His commitment to advancing eye care is matched by his involvement in professional organizations, including as a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Ellis has been recognized by the Guide to America’s Top Ophthalmologists and has received the Physician’s Recognition Award from the American Medical Association. Outside of his practice, he volunteers with several community organizations, including Habitat for Humanity and EyeCare America, which provides eye care to those in need.
