About Me
Dr. Dawn Duss is a pediatric ophthalmologist who provides care for children with eye conditions in Northeast Florida. She completed fellowship training in Pediatric Ophthalmology at Emory University and brings expertise in comprehensive pediatric eye care and adult strabismus. Dr. Duss performs adult strabismus surgery and has a particular interest in treating strabismus, pediatric cataracts, and Retinopathy of Prematurity.
In her practice, Dr. Duss focuses on making children comfortable during eye exams. She believes in interacting with children on their level and strives to provide exceptional care. She also volunteers with Vision Is Priceless, a nonprofit organization that provides vision screening and follow-up care for Jacksonville residents.
Dr. Duss is on the active medical staff at Wolfson Children’s Hospital and holds courtesy privileges at Baptist Medical Center Beaches. She has held previous appointments at Nemours Children’s Clinic and Mayo Clinic. She remains committed to advancing pediatric ophthalmology through her role on the editorial board of the Journal of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.
