Meet Dr. Kelly Hodson Unkrich

Dr. Kelly Hodson Unkrich is a pediatric ophthalmologist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of eye conditions in infants, children, and teens. She is passionate about early identification of vision problems and works closely with families to make exams engaging and easy to understand. Dr. Unkrich earned her MD from Florida State University, completed an internal medicine year at Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital, ophthalmology residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University, and a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology at the Medical University of South Carolina.Her clinical interests include amblyopia, tear-duct disorders, pediatric cataracts, ptosis, and strabismus. She also cares for premature infants at risk for retinopathy of prematurity and participates in outreach and mission work. Parents appreciate her calm, friendly approach and the time she spends answering questions so they feel confident in each step of care.
