About Me
Dr. David T. Nixon is a board-certified ophthalmologist who was born and raised in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He completed his medical degree and ophthalmology residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS).
Dr. Nixon is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Arkansas Ophthalmology Society, and the Southern Medical Association. He serves on the medical staff at Jefferson Regional Medical Center (JRMC) and holds the position of Medical Director of Credentialing and Regulatory Matters.
In addition to his private, solo practice in Pine Bluff, Dr. Nixon is involved in training the next generation of eye doctors. He regularly staffs a resident clinic at the Jones Eye Institute in Little Rock, where he supervises and teaches ophthalmology residents.
