Meet Dr. David Steve Chin Yee

Dr. David S. Chin Yee is a retina specialist committed to preserving and restoring vision for his patients. His passion for medicine was sparked by a volunteer experience at a home for the blind in Jamaica, which inspired his dedication to helping those with visual impairments. He completed his undergraduate and medical education at the University of Miami, followed by an ophthalmology residency at Henry Ford Health System and a fellowship in medical and surgical retina at Washington University School of Medicine.

Dr. Chin Yee specializes in Vitreo-Retinal surgery, focusing on complex retinal conditions. He finds great reward in saving and improving sight, emphasizing the profound impact on patients' lives. His clinical expertise includes age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, macular holes, macular pucker, retinal detachment, retinopathy of prematurity, uveitis, and tumors of the eye.

Actively involved in advancing retinal care, Dr. Chin Yee participates in clinical trials, authors scientific articles, and serves as a peer reviewer for ophthalmic journals. He also lectures nationally on retinal diseases. Outside of his practice, he enjoys sports, has an interest in cars, and values time with his family.
