Dr. David Friedrich

Dr. David L. Friedrich is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has been practicing since 1983. He earned his undergraduate and medical degrees from the State University of New York, followed by residency training in general surgery and ophthalmology at Buffalo General Hospital and Erie County Medical Center. He relocated to Chattanooga in 1997, where he was the first surgeon to offer no-needle, no-patch, no-stitch small incision cataract surgery.

Today, Dr. Friedrich continues to lead in cataract surgery, offering bifocal intraocular lenses that allow patients to read and drive without glasses. He also performs advanced eyelid surgery with lower lid procedures that require no skin incisions. In addition to cataract and eyelid surgery, Dr. Friedrich treats glaucoma and general ophthalmological conditions using state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment equipment. He currently practices at Friedrich Eye Associates, PLLC.
