About Me
Dr. David Reed is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in retinal diseases. He was born and raised in the Boston area and attended Dartmouth College, where he earned a degree in engineering sciences and a master's in biochemical engineering. He received his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine, where he was recognized with the Academic Excellence Award and inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honor Societies. He completed an internal medicine internship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, an ophthalmology residency at the Jules Stein Eye Institute, and a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the prestigious Wills Eye Institute.
Dr. Reed is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retinal Specialists, the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, and the American Medical Association. He has authored numerous research articles and presented his work nationally.
His clinical focus includes the treatment of medical, laser, and surgical retinal conditions such as macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, retinal vascular occlusions, macular holes, epiretinal membranes, retinal detachments, and proliferative vitreoretinopathy. He is committed to offering the most advanced treatments, including anti-VEGF therapy, laser, and small incision surgery, with skill and compassion.
