Dr. David Auringer

Dr. Auringer is a board-certified ophthalmologist providing comprehensive eye care for adults and families in the Capital Region. He treats a wide range of vision and eye health concerns, including cataracts, macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, and other retinal problems. In addition to cataract surgery, he offers in-office procedures such as intraocular injections used to treat macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, and vascular occlusions, as well as laser treatments for glaucoma and secondary cataracts.

Dr. Auringer completed his medical training at Albany Medical College and finished his ophthalmology training at Albany Medical Center. After training, he served as a senior attending ophthalmologist at Bassett Healthcare, where he also helped teach medical students and residents.
