Dr. Daniel Messner

Dr. Daniel Messner is a glaucoma specialist with more than 30 years of experience treating patients throughout the Carolinas. Since 1986, he has focused on the medical and laser treatment of glaucoma, and has been involved in research on optic nerve structure, laser therapy, and new medical treatments for glaucoma and ocular hypertension. He also has over 20 years of experience teaching colleagues about glaucoma management.

Dr. Messner earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine, where he graduated with highest honors. He completed his internship at St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis and his residency at the University of Michigan, followed by a fellowship in glaucoma at Washington University in St. Louis. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and treats patients at multiple locations in North Carolina.
