About Me

Daniel J. Lee, MD, is a fellowship-trained cornea specialist and comprehensive ophthalmologist who cares for patients with both routine and complex eye concerns. He has particular interest in cataract surgery, corneal transplantation, and anterior segment reconstruction, and he offers vision-correcting options such as LASIK and PRK when appropriate. Dr. Lee discovered ophthalmology while working as an ophthalmic technician during college, an experience that led him to pursue medical training specifically to become an eye surgeon.

After medical school, he completed an internship in Chicago where he helped care for ICU patients during the COVID-19 pandemic. He then moved to Portland to complete ophthalmology residency training, followed by fellowship training in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery. Dr. Lee provides advanced lens options for cataract surgery, including toric, multifocal, and light adjustable lenses, and he has experience with iris/pupil reconstruction and secondary intraocular lens implantation. He enjoys partnering with patients, explaining options clearly, and tailoring care to each person’s visual goals.
