About Me
Dr. Dal Chun is a retina specialist and vitreoretinal surgeon at The Retina Group of Washington. He treats a wide range of retinal and macular conditions, including age-related macular degeneration, retinal vein occlusion, proliferative vitreoretinopathy, and retinal detachment. He is dedicated to using the latest research and innovative medications to preserve and improve vision, tailoring each treatment plan to the individual needs of his patients.
Dr. Chun's educational path began at Brown University, followed by medical school at New Jersey Medical School, where he earned highest honors and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, serving as Chief Resident, and then a fellowship in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery at Tufts New England Eye Center. Board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, he also serves as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine.
With years of experience, including service as Chief of Retina Service at Walter Reed and as Ophthalmic Consultant to The White House, Dr. Chun has vast expertise in managing complex vitreoretinal conditions and ocular trauma. His patients appreciate his thorough, compassionate approach and dedication to achieving the best possible outcomes.
