About Me
Dr. Colin E. Brown is a cornea and refractive surgeon who helps patients reduce their dependence on glasses and contacts while protecting long-term eye health. At Great Plains Eye Specialists, he offers personalized evaluations to determine whether laser vision correction or lens-based options are the best fit, then guides patients through a clear plan from consultation to recovery. Dr. Brown earned his medical degree from the Sanford School of Medicine at the University of South Dakota, completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, and pursued advanced fellowship training in cornea and refractive surgery at the Storm Eye Institute (Medical University of South Carolina). He is board-certified in refractive surgery through the World College of Refractive Surgery and Visual Sciences. Raised in South Dakota, he enjoys caring for patients across the region and partnering closely with local optometrists for seamless co-management. Whether you’re exploring LASIK, managing keratoconus, or considering cataract surgery with advanced lens implants, Dr. Brown focuses on safety, education, and outcomes so you can see— and live— with confidence.
