Dr. Coby Ray

Dr. Coby Ray is a fellowship-trained oculoplastic surgeon and Director of Aesthetics and Cosmetic Surgery at West Texas Eye Associates in Lubbock. He specializes in cosmetic and functional procedures involving the eyelids, brows, tear ducts, and orbit, offering both in-office surgeries and more complex reconstructive care. Dr. Ray completed an MD/MBA combined degree program at Texas Tech University School of Medicine, a Master of Science in Clinical Research for Healthcare Professionals at Drexel University College of Medicine, and a postdoctoral fellowship in ocular microbiology and research. He went on to complete an ophthalmology residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center after a neurosurgery internship at Vanderbilt University. As one of the few oculoplastic specialists in West Texas, Dr. Ray focuses on reducing wait times, minimizing hospital stays, and tailoring each treatment plan to patients’ functional needs and cosmetic goals. Outside of medicine, he is a former NCAA Division I basketball player who enjoys scuba diving and community service.
