Dr. Mark Alford

Dr. Mark Alford is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in plastic, cosmetic, and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids, forehead, orbit, and lacrimal system for adults and children. He completed his residency in ophthalmology and fellowship in ophthalmic plastic surgery at the University of Iowa, and he is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and UT Southwestern Medical School.

In 2003, Dr. Alford co-founded North Texas Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery. He has authored many articles and book chapters on ophthalmic plastic surgery and teaches the blepharoplasty course at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He received the Research Award from the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 2001 and is actively involved in professional organizations as a recognized leader in his field.
