About Me
Dr. Christopher Channon is an ophthalmologist who has been providing eye care in his community since 1981. He is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Channon has a particular interest in small incision cataract surgery and uses advanced lens implant technology, including toric and multifocal implants, to minimize the need for glasses after cataract surgery.
In addition to cataract and implant surgery, Dr. Channon manages a comprehensive spectrum of ophthalmic conditions, including macular disease, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and ocular surface disorders. His practice is equipped with extensive diagnostic equipment such as angiography, ultrasound, OCT, visual fields, topography, tear osmolarity testing, and ocular photography to aid in the management of these conditions.
Dr. Channon completed his medical degree at New York Medical College, where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society and a Mosby Scholar. He then completed an internship at Metropolitan Hospital Center and a residency in ophthalmology at Downstate Medical Center in New York.
