About Me
Dr. Christopher Riemann is a vitreoretinal surgeon at the Cincinnati Eye Institute who specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of vitreoretinal diseases. He cares for patients with conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and retinal detachment, utilizing advanced surgical techniques including endoscopic vitrectomy and screen-based digitally assisted vitreoretinal surgery.
Dr. Riemann serves as the vitreo-retinal fellowship director at the Cincinnati Eye Institute and University of Cincinnati and is a volunteer associate professor at the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine. He is also the Section Chief for Ophthalmology at Bethesda North Hospital and a member of the Clinical Governance Board of the Cincinnati Eye Institute.
With a background in biomedical engineering and over two decades of experience, Dr. Riemann is committed to advancing the field of vitreoretinal surgery through clinical research, instrument design, and multidisciplinary approaches to patient care.
