About Me
Dr. Christina Flaxel is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of retinal and vitreous conditions. She cares for patients with macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments, and other diseases of the retina and vitreous. Dr. Flaxel offers retina surgery and treatments such as injections to help preserve and restore vision.
Dr. Flaxel completed her medical degree at Oregon Health and Science University in 1988, followed by a residency in ophthalmology at Oregon Health & Science University in 1993. She then pursued advanced fellowship training in retina at West Virginia University. She is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
At her practice at the OHSU Casey Eye Institute Retina Clinic in Portland, Oregon, Dr. Flaxel provides comprehensive care for patients with complex retinal conditions, working closely with her team to ensure each patient receives individualized attention and treatment.
