About Me
Dr. Lesley Everett is a retina specialist and physician-scientist who cares for adults and children with inherited and acquired retinal disorders. She combines compassionate, family-centered visits with up-to-date imaging and treatment to protect and maximize vision. Her clinical interests span inherited retinal diseases, retinal vascular conditions, and medical retina, and she partners closely with patients to explain diagnoses, map next steps, and coordinate long-term care. A Pacific Northwest native, Dr. Everett completed MD and PhD training at the University of Michigan Medical School as part of the NIH-funded Medical Scientist Training Program. She then completed ophthalmology residency at the University of California, San Francisco, followed by a Medical Retina fellowship at the University of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center. Her academic work focuses on ophthalmic genetics, retinal vascular development, advanced retinal imaging, and emerging gene-based therapies. Patients describe her as thorough, clear, and deeply committed to shared decision-making that fits each person’s goals and daily life.
