Dr. Christian Briggs

Dr. Owen Qi is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist and cataract surgeon known for personalized, patient-centered care. A San Diego native, he graduated *summa cum laude* with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis, where he also earned his medical degree at the nationally ranked School of Medicine. Dr. Qi completed his internship at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, followed by ophthalmology residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University. During the COVID-19 pandemic he served as attending ophthalmic surgeon at Hennepin County Medical Center, a busy level-1 trauma center, providing high-acuity care while teaching University of Minnesota residents. He now practices at Munster Eye Care Associates and is affiliated with Community Hospital–Munster. Passionate about cataract surgery, Dr. Qi offers premium intraocular lenses and the latest minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) techniques to reduce reliance on glasses and drops. He approaches every consultation as a shared decision-making experience—reviewing options in clear language and treating each patient as he would a friend or family member. Outside the clinic he enjoys personal fitness, long drives, and exploring new cuisines with loved ones.

Dr. Eric Scripture is an ophthalmic surgeon who provides comprehensive medical and surgical eye care for adults in East Central Indiana. He focuses on cataract surgery with modern intraocular lens options and the longitudinal care of patients with macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, and glaucoma. Patients value his straightforward explanations and practical approach to helping them see clearly and stay active. Originally trained at Indiana University School of Medicine, Dr. Scripture completed ophthalmology residency at the Indiana University School of Medicine after a transitional year at IU Methodist. He cares for patients across several Whitewater Eye Center locations and operates at regional hospitals and surgery centers. A native of the area, he enjoys serving the communities where he grew up and collaborating closely with referring optometrists and primary care clinicians to coordinate care.

Dr. Colin M. Ridenour is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Grossnickle Eye Center providing comprehensive medical and surgical eye care. His interests include cataract surgery, management of glaucoma and diabetic eye disease, evaluation and treatment of macular degeneration, and medical retina therapies. Patients value his straightforward explanations and practical approach to vision preservation, from routine exams to complex decision-making about surgery or injections. Dr. Ridenour earned his undergraduate degree from Wabash College and his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine, where he also completed ophthalmology residency. He serves patients across northern Indiana and collaborates closely with primary-care and optometric partners to coordinate care, optimize outcomes, and support long-term eye health for every stage of life.
