About Me
Dr. Charles Johnson is a board-certified ophthalmologist practicing at Texas Eye Institute. He was one of the first surgeons in the Houston area to perform LASIK vision correction in 1995 and currently offers advanced bladeless custom LASIK, sutureless cataract surgery, and refractive lens exchange using the ReSTOR accommodative IOL. He focuses on achieving excellent outcomes in challenging refractive cases and consistently uses the latest technology.
Dr. Johnson completed his undergraduate degree in chemical engineering at Rice University and earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Hermann Eye Center, where he served as chief resident and was selected as the most outstanding surgical resident. He is a member of several professional medical organizations.
In addition to refractive surgery and cataract procedures, Dr. Johnson treats glaucoma and corneal conditions. He provides comprehensive eye care at both the Sugar Land and Angleton offices, where a therapeutic optometrist works under his supervision for routine eye exams.
