About Me

Dr. Chaow Charoenkijkajorn is an ophthalmologist specializing in neuro-ophthalmology and ophthalmic pathology. He cares for adults with visual problems that arise from the brain, optic nerve, and eye muscles, and brings particular expertise in conditions such as giant cell arteritis, idiopathic intracranial hypertension, optic neuritis, cranial nerve palsies, and blepharospasm. Dr. Charoenkijkajorn completed a neuro-ophthalmology fellowship at the Houston Methodist Blanton Eye Institute and additional training in ophthalmic pathology at Stanford University. He previously finished ophthalmology residency at Mahidol University after earning his medical degree at Chulalongkorn University. His philosophy centers on listening closely and understanding the whole patient to uncover details that can change a diagnosis or treatment plan. In clinic he offers both diagnostic evaluation and treatment, including targeted use of botulinum toxin when appropriate. He is also a prolific academic contributor with dozens of peer-reviewed publications and presentations at national and international meetings. Patients can expect careful examination, clear explanations, and collaborative planning aimed at restoring comfort, function, and confidence in their vision.
