Cary R. Baxter, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal surgeon dedicated to restoring and protecting sight with compassionate, individualized care. Dr. Baxter earned his medical degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Medicine, completed an ophthalmology residency at the University of Mississippi, and pursued advanced fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery at Retina Specialists of Alabama. He has contributed to peer-reviewed publications and remains focused on bringing proven, modern techniques to patients across Alabama.
