Meet Dr. Carter Tisdale
About Me
Dr. Carter Tisdale is a board-certified ophthalmologist and active-duty U.S. Air Force physician who focuses on advanced laser vision correction and cataract surgery. In addition to caring for active-duty service members at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, he performs LASIK, PRK, SMILE, ICL, and cataract procedures for patients through LasikPlus, helping people reduce or eliminate their dependence on glasses and contact lenses. Dr. Tisdale earned a Bachelor of Science in biomedical sciences with a minor in Spanish from Auburn University and completed his medical degree at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine. After serving as a flight surgeon in combat search and rescue units, including deployments to the Middle East, he completed his ophthalmology residency at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium, where he served as chief resident. He is involved in teaching through Wright State University and has participated in multiple international medical missions, providing sight-restoring cataract surgery in underserved communities across Africa, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean.
