Dr. Bonnie Sklar

Dr. Bonnie Sklar is a cornea and external disease specialist who recently joined the clinical faculty at UNC Ophthalmology. She focuses on the medical and surgical management of conditions affecting the cornea, cataracts, and the front of the eye.

Dr. Sklar completed her fellowship in cornea and external disease at Duke Eye Center in early summer 2024, following her ophthalmology residency at Wills Eye Hospital/Jefferson School of Medicine in Philadelphia. This advanced training provides expertise in complex corneal disorders and cataract surgery.

In her outpatient practice, Dr. Sklar sees patients at the UNC Kittner Eye Center and the UNC Ophthalmology Holly Springs office. She provides comprehensive care for corneal conditions, cataracts, and external eye diseases. For surgical procedures, she operates at UNC Hospitals Hillsborough and UNC Holly Springs Hospital.
