Dr. Blake Acohido

Dr. Acohido is a board-certified ophthalmologist who provides personalized, compassionate care with an emphasis on preserving and restoring vision and eye health. He manages a wide range of eye conditions, from acute issues such as ophthalmic trauma, angle closure, and ocular inflammation to chronic diseases including diabetes, macular degeneration, glaucoma, and cataracts. Dr. Acohido also values preventive care and enjoys educating patients on maintaining excellent eye health.

One of his favorite procedures is cataract surgery, which he describes as a safe and effective way to restore sight. He is passionate about bringing cataract surgery to developing countries to help address curable blindness. Dr. Acohido completed his ophthalmology residency at Casey Eye Institute and an internship at Legacy Health. He began practicing in 2013 and is affiliated with Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center.
