About Me
Dr. Benjamin Nicholson is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in retinal diseases and uveitis. He has a particular interest in conditions such as macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, and central serous chorioretinopathy. Dr. Nicholson also treats surgical retinal conditions including macular holes, macular puckers, and retinal detachments.
Dr. Nicholson completed his undergraduate degree at Dartmouth College and earned his medical degree at St. Louis University School of Medicine. He then completed his ophthalmology residency at the Cleveland Clinic, followed by two fellowships: one in medical retina and uveitis at the National Eye Institute and the National Institutes of Health, and a second in surgical retina at the Mayo Clinic.
He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Christian Medical and Dental Associations. Dr. Nicholson and his family are active in the St. Joseph community.
