About Me
Dr. Randy C. Bowen is an ocular oncologist and vitreoretinal surgeon at Northwestern Medicine who treats eye cancers and complex retinal disease. His practice includes diagnosis and management of uveal melanoma and other intraocular tumors, as well as surgical care for conditions such as retinal detachment and macular holes. He integrates advanced modalities—including plaque brachytherapy and proton therapy—into personalized treatment plans, coordinating closely with oncology and radiation teams when needed.
Dr. Bowen earned his medical degree at the University of Utah, completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Wisconsin, and pursued fellowships at the Cleveland Clinic and the University of Iowa.
