Dr. Benjamin Kuhar is a board-certified ophthalmologist with advanced expertise in vision-correcting surgery. He specializes in modern laser procedures including LASIK and PRK as well as SMILE and implantable collamer lenses (ICL), and he performs refractive cataract surgery tailored to each patient’s goals. Patients appreciate his mix of precision and clear communication, from the first consultation through recovery.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Kuhar helps train the next generation of eye surgeons as Associate Program Director of the Ophthalmology Residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Uniformed Services University. His background includes residency training in ophthalmology and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine, following a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from the University of Rhode Island.
