About Me

Dr. Ashwinee Ragam is a board-certified ophthalmologist with specialized fellowship training in cornea and external disease. She provides comprehensive eye care with a focus on corneal conditions, cataract surgery, and ocular surface diseases.

Dr. Ragam earned her medical degree through an accelerated BS/MD program at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, graduating at the top of her class with induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed her ophthalmology residency and a corneal subspecialty fellowship at the prestigious New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, where she was selected as Chief Resident.

She is skilled in advanced procedures such as full and partial-thickness corneal transplantation (DMEK and DSEK), pterygium excision, and was the first ophthalmologist in Ocean County to perform FDA-approved corneal collagen crosslinking for keratoconus and post-LASIK ectasia. Dr. Ragam runs the Dry Eye Relief Center at InVision Eye Care, helping patients manage complex dry eye conditions to optimize vision and comfort, especially around cataract surgery. She is an active member of several professional societies and has contributed to the field through peer-reviewed publications.
