About Me

Dr. Ariel J. Tyring is a board-certified ophthalmologist dedicated to the medical and surgical management of retina and macular diseases. A native of central Indiana, she completed her medical education and internship at Indiana University School of Medicine, followed by an ophthalmology residency and vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the University of Washington in Seattle.

Her clinical practice and research focus on diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, hereditary retinal degeneration, and uveitis. Dr. Tyring is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists.

Outside of work, she enjoys hiking and camping with her husband and their dog, as well as running and baking.
